These are not painted after the fact. The color is printed in, layer by layer, which means it will not chip off a raised edge or wear thin where the piece gets handled. Pick it up, move it around a shelf, hand it to someone. It stays looking the way it looked when it left here.

These are display pieces, not desk trinkets. At around a foot tall each figure has real presence on a shelf, stands on its own with no base required, and gets checked and cleaned up by hand before it ships.
